April 22 marks Earth Day—a timely reminder to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the planet we call home. To honor the occasion, we've selected five films that invite us to “see” Earth again: her splendor, her scars, and the fragile, often overlooked relationship we have with her. Whether you've seen them or not, these titles all challenge us to reconsider how we live—and what we take for granted.
Climate Action

In a nutshell: On a trash-covered Earth long abandoned by humans, a lonely robot goes about his cleaning routine—until he discovers a small sign of hope.
At first glance, WALL-E appears to be a love story between robots. But beneath the surface lies a sobering parable about environmental neglect and overconsumption. In this dystopia, humans have escaped to space, leaving a lifeless, garbage-strewn Earth behind. They live entirely through machines—no walking, no thinking. It’s a gentle but piercing indictment of consumer culture and technological complacency, reminding us that the comforts of modern life may be costing us more than we realize.
Responsible Consumption and Production
In a nutshell: A revealing exposé that pulls back the curtain on the global fishing industry—and the hidden cost of what’s on our plates.

In this globe-spanning documentary, director Ali Tabrizi uncovers how industrial fishing is not only devastating marine ecosystems but also entangled in human rights abuses. Think plastic straws are the biggest ocean pollutant? Think again. It’s discarded fishing gear and illegal operations that dominate the data. Seaspiracy reminds us that the real damage often happens out of sight—and that every consumer choice is also a political one.
《別抬頭 Don’t Look Up》(2021)
Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions
